Preparation time: 15 minutes
Cooking time: 20 minutes
Make your own Meatballs: (or use 600 g pre-made meatballs)
- 1 slice crusty white bread, broken into small pieces
- ¼ cup milk
- 500 beef mince (or 250g beef, 250g pork mince)
- 1 small egg
- ¼ cup chopped parsley
- 1 large clove garlic, crushed
- ½ teaspoon smoked paprika
- ½ teaspoon paprika
- 300 g jar Wicked Hots Salsa, Mild or Medium, or Hot
Method:
- Place the bread and milk into a large bowl. Toss and leave for a few minutes until the milk has soaked into the bread. Mash with a fork.
- Add the mince, egg, parsley, garlic, smoked paprika and paprika. Season with plenty of salt and pepper. Mix well with clean hands then form into small meatballs.
- Place meatballs onto an oven tray lined with baking paper. Fan grill at 200C for 15 to 20 minutes, turning halfway through, until meatballs are cooked through and browned.
- Stir half of the salsa through the meatballs. Serve remaining salsa as a dipping sauce alongside the meatballs.
